DeKalb Peachtree Airport

DeKalb Peachtree is the busiest general aviation airport in Georgia and the practical choice for private jet passengers heading to Atlanta's north side. Hartsfield-Jackson handles commercial traffic 30 miles to the south; KPDK handles private aviation without the congestion, delays, or ground holds that come with a major hub. Four runways accommodate everything from light jets to large cabin aircraft.

The airport sits in Chamblee, which puts it within easy reach of Buckhead, Midtown, Perimeter Center, Dunwoody, and Alpharetta. For passengers headed to north Atlanta business corridors or Buckhead hotels, KPDK cuts 20 to 30 minutes off the ground transfer versus arriving at Hartsfield. Multiple FBOs operate on the field with full service ramp handling, fuel, and passenger lounges.

Downtown Atlanta is 11 miles southwest, typically 20 to 25 minutes by car. Buckhead is 8 miles and runs 15 to 20 minutes in normal traffic. Perimeter Center and Dunwoody are 10 to 15 minutes north. Alpharetta is roughly 25 miles and 30 to 35 minutes depending on I-285 and GA-400 conditions. Peachtree Industrial Boulevard sees afternoon congestion, so eastside routes can be quicker during peak hours. Car service and black car companies serving private aviation passengers are available through the FBOs on field.
