Harry Reid International Airport

Harry Reid handles commercial and private aviation on the same field, which means the airspace is busy year-round and can be congested during major events. Las Vegas hosts dozens of high-traffic weekends annually: Super Bowl viewing, boxing cards, F1 (since 2023), CES in January, EDC in May, and NAB in April. Expect longer taxi times and potential departure delays during these periods. Book FBO ramp space well in advance for event weekends.

Three FBOs serve private operators at KLAS: Signature Flight Support, Million Air, and Atlantic Aviation. All three offer full-service handling, fuel, and passenger lounges. The airport operates 24 hours a day, which matters in Las Vegas where late-night and early-morning departures are common. There are no slot requirements for charter flights. CBP is available on-site for international arrivals.

If you want to avoid the congestion entirely, Henderson Executive Airport (KHND) is 15 miles southeast of the Strip and handles a significant portion of private traffic. Smaller and quieter, it is a reasonable alternative when KLAS is at capacity during peak weekends.

The Las Vegas Strip runs roughly 4 to 6 miles north of the airport. Drive time to major Strip hotels is 10 to 20 minutes under normal conditions, though Friday and Saturday nights can push that to 30 minutes or more on Las Vegas Boulevard. Downtown Fremont Street is about 8 miles and 15 to 25 minutes depending on traffic. All three FBOs can coordinate black car service or limousine pickup directly to the ramp. Rideshare pickup is available at the commercial terminals but not at the private FBOs; car service arranged through your FBO is the standard option.
