Dallas Love Field

Love Field sits 6 miles northwest of downtown Dallas, making it the practical choice for private passengers headed to Uptown, the Design District, or the CBD. Dallas/Fort Worth International is 25 miles away and typically adds 30 to 45 minutes of ground time each way.

The airport shares runways with Southwest Airlines, which runs one of the country's busiest single-carrier operations here. FBO ramp flow and ground movement can be tight during Southwest's morning and afternoon peak departure banks. Signature Aviation and Atlantic Aviation both operate on the north side of the field with dedicated private terminals. Plan arrivals outside of peak Southwest windows if schedule flexibility allows.

Noise abatement procedures apply from 11pm to 6am. Some turbine aircraft face departure restrictions during those hours. Charter operators familiar with KDAL factor this into scheduling, particularly for late evening arrivals or early morning departures.

Downtown Dallas is 6 miles from the FBOs, typically 12 to 20 minutes by car depending on traffic. Uptown and the Arts District run about 10 minutes. The American Airlines Center and Deep Ellum are both under 15 minutes.

Car services and Uber Black meet at FBO facilities directly. For trips to Frisco, Plano, or the northern suburbs, expect 30 to 45 minutes. Driving to DFW for a connecting commercial flight takes 35 to 50 minutes via I-35E, depending on time of day.
