Eppley Airfield

Eppley Airfield handles both commercial and private traffic from a single campus on the Missouri River's west bank. Private aviation is well-supported here: Silverhawk Aviation and Jet Linx both operate full-service FBOs with ramp space, fuel, and crew amenities. You will not encounter the slot restrictions or ramp congestion common at larger hubs.

Class C airspace means you will coordinate with approach control on arrival, but the procedures are straightforward and the airport is not known for significant delays on the private side. The FBOs handle the full range of aircraft from light jets to heavy iron, and the operators based here, including Thrive Aviation and Scott Aviation, reflect a healthy local charter market.

Downtown Omaha is 3 miles south of the airport, a 10 to 15 minute drive depending on traffic on Abbott Drive or I-480. The Old Market district, the primary hotel and dining corridor, is under 4 miles. Council Bluffs, Iowa sits directly across the Missouri River, roughly 10 minutes east. Lincoln, the state capital, is 55 miles west via I-80, about 50 minutes by car. Rideshare is available at the terminal, and car services can meet at the FBO by arrangement.
