Austin Bergstrom International Airport

Austin-Bergstrom handles both commercial and private traffic on one field. Private jets use the south ramp, where Million Air operates the main FBO with a dedicated terminal, fuel, and crew cars. The facility is separate from the commercial terminal, so passengers avoid the main terminal entirely.

The airport is uncongested most of the year, but Austin hosts several events that strain FBO ramp space and parking: SXSW in March, the Formula 1 US Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas in October, and Austin City Limits in October. During those weekends, ramp slots fill quickly and fuel prices spike. If you're flying in for any of them, coordinate with Million Air well ahead.

CBP is on-site for international arrivals. The airport operates around the clock, and there are no slot restrictions for private aircraft.

Downtown Austin is 6 miles northwest of the airport. Without traffic, the drive on Highway 71 or Riverside Drive takes 15 to 20 minutes. During rush hour or event weekends, 40 to 50 minutes is realistic, particularly on I-35. Rideshare pickups are straightforward from the FBO. Most operators and hotels can arrange a car service if you want a confirmed vehicle on arrival.

Circuit of the Americas is roughly 3 miles from the airport, making KAUS the practical arrival point for F1 and MotoGP events. The Domain, Austin's north side shopping and tech office district, is about 18 miles from the airport and takes 25 to 35 minutes by car.
