Allegheny County Airport

Allegheny County Airport is Pittsburgh's main reliever airport for general aviation and charter operations. It sits about 9 miles southeast of downtown in West Mifflin, keeping passengers well clear of the congestion at Pittsburgh International. The airport handles turboprops and jets without the scheduling friction of a commercial facility.

The airport has two runways and full FBO services on the field. Charter passengers arrive directly at the FBO, skip the terminal entirely, and are typically in a car within minutes of wheels down. For business travel into Pittsburgh, this is the faster option for most origin airports that don't require international customs.

Downtown Pittsburgh is about 9 miles northwest, a 20 to 25 minute drive under normal conditions. The Strip District and Oakland neighborhoods are roughly 15 to 20 minutes away. Car service and rental cars are available through the FBO. Pittsburgh International (KPIT) is about 25 miles to the west if connecting onward commercially.
