Centennial Airport

Centennial Airport is one of the busiest general aviation airports in the United States by operations. It has no commercial airline service, which means the entire facility is oriented toward business aviation: shorter taxi times, no TSA checkpoints, and direct ramp access from FBO to aircraft. Multiple FBOs operate on the field, with Signature Aviation being the largest. Runway 17R/35L is 10,001 feet long, which accommodates large-cabin jets without restriction.

The airport sits at 5,883 feet elevation. Pilots account for this in performance planning, but passengers will notice it as a slightly longer ground roll on departure. Denver's summer afternoon thunderstorms can affect scheduling from June through August; plan some schedule flexibility if flying in or out during that window. There are no slot requirements and no congestion equivalent to Teterboro or Van Nuys.

The Denver Tech Center is 3 miles from the airport, roughly 8 minutes by car. Downtown Denver is 18 miles northwest, typically 25 to 35 minutes depending on traffic on I-25. Cherry Creek is about 12 miles and 20 minutes. Most FBOs arrange car service on request; Uber and Lyft are also available curbside. Denver International Airport is 40 miles northeast, about 45 to 55 minutes, making Centennial the practical choice for anyone whose destination is the south metro or DTC corridor.
