About Modern Aviation
Modern Aviation is the largest FBO at Centennial Airport and has been consistently ranked as the best in the Rocky Mountain Region. The facility completed a nearly 23 million dollar campus expansion in March 2023 that more than doubled the operation's footprint. The new complex features a 7,000 square foot Class A FBO terminal, two heated 28-foot-door hangars encompassing more than 52,000 square feet, 4,000 square feet of attached office space, and 150,000 square feet of new ramp area. With 100,000 square feet of climate-controlled hangar space in total, the facility can support aircraft up to Gulfstream G650, Bombardier Global, Embraer Legacy 600, and Dassault Falcon 7X/8X size. The heated hangars are particularly valuable in Colorado winters, ensuring aircraft are ready to depart without extended de-icing delays. Centennial Airport is located 15 miles southeast of downtown Denver, accessible via Interstate 25 and the Denver Tech Center area. The airport is a dedicated general aviation facility with no commercial airline traffic, resulting in shorter taxi times and more responsive runway access than Denver International Airport. Centennial features a 10,002-foot runway that can handle any business jet at full weight. For charter passengers, Modern Aviation's 2023 campus represents the newest and most modern FBO facility at Centennial, competing against two Signature locations and several other operators on the field. The combination of large heated hangars, ample ramp space, and a contemporary terminal building creates a professional arrival and departure experience. Denver's position as a hub for outdoor recreation, tech industry, and energy sector business ensures steady demand for private aviation services, and Modern Aviation has invested to capture the premium segment of that traffic.
