Orlando Executive Airport

Orlando Executive sits 3 miles east of downtown Orlando and handles general aviation and charter traffic exclusively. There is no commercial airline service, which means no TSA queues, no gate holds, and no competition for ramp space with commercial jets. Passengers arrive at FBO facilities, not terminals.

Sheltair Aviation is the primary FBO on the field, offering lounges, rental cars, and ground handling. The airport operates 24 hours, though noise abatement procedures apply during overnight hours. There are no slot requirements and no prior permission needed for domestic arrivals or departures.

For passengers heading into downtown Orlando, Winter Park, or the business district along I-4, KORL is the right call. For Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, or International Drive, the drive time from KORL and from Orlando International is comparable, but KORL avoids the commercial congestion at MCO.

Downtown Orlando is 3 miles from the airport, roughly a 10-minute drive under normal conditions. Walt Disney World is approximately 22 miles southwest, typically 25 to 30 minutes via FL-408 West. Universal Studios runs about 15 miles, and International Drive is 18 miles. Uber and Lyft operate reliably at KORL. Most FBOs can arrange car service or rental cars with advance notice. Winter Park, a popular destination for business travelers, is 6 miles north, under 15 minutes.
