Kissimmee Gateway Airport

Kissimmee Gateway sits at the southern edge of the Orlando metro, positioned to serve the theme park corridor rather than the city center. For passengers heading to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, or the International Drive resort strip, KISM is often the more practical choice over Orlando International (KMCO), which is a commercial hub with the congestion and ground delays that come with it.

The airport is uncontrolled airspace with no slot requirements. Ramp access is straightforward and FBO staff are accustomed to handling charter arrivals. It runs 24 hours. No customs or international arrivals processing is available here, so international flights must clear at a designated port of entry before continuing to KISM.

Walt Disney World is about 8 miles west of the airport, a 15-minute drive under normal traffic. Universal Studios and the International Drive hotel corridor are roughly 15 miles north, around 20 minutes. Downtown Orlando is 20 miles and typically 25-30 minutes by car. Rental cars are available at the airport. Most FBOs can arrange car service on request. Uber and Lyft are active in Kissimmee.
