Daytona Beach International Airport

KDAB handles both scheduled commercial service and private aviation, with FBO facilities on the field. The airport's main draw for charter passengers is proximity to Daytona International Speedway, roughly one mile to the west. During the Daytona 500 (February) and the Coke Zero Sugar 400 (August), the airport sees heavy traffic. If you're flying in for a race weekend, coordinate your arrival and departure slots well in advance and expect ramp congestion.

For non-race periods, the airport is straightforward. It operates around the clock and has no routine slot requirements. The facility is sized for regional jets and turboprops up through large-cabin business jets. CBP services are available for international arrivals, though you should arrange customs clearance in advance with your FBO.

Daytona International Speedway is about one mile from the terminal, a five-minute drive. The beachside strip along A1A is roughly four miles east, 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic. Orlando is approximately 60 miles southwest, about one hour by car under normal conditions. Jacksonville is about 90 miles north, around 1.5 hours.

Car rentals are available on the airport property. During major race weekends, ground traffic around the speedway and along International Speedway Boulevard can be significant, so plan extra time if your departure coincides with race-day crowds.
