Sheltair
Daytona Beach, FL
About Sheltair
Sheltair at Daytona Beach International Airport operates from 563 Pearl Harbor Drive on the north end of the airport, with hours running 0600 to 2100 daily. The north side location puts the FBO close to US Route 92, the main east-west corridor connecting the airport to Daytona Beach and the coastal communities.
The facility provides executive boardroom space, crew cars, shuttle services, and fueling. For charter passengers arriving for an event or meeting, the boardroom setup means work can continue on the ground before ground transport picks up. Crew cars give pilots practical access to nearby services during a layover without arranging paid transportation.
Daytona International Speedway, home of the Daytona 500 and multiple NASCAR events annually, sits near the airport. During race weekends, Sheltair's north-end position provides convenient staging for arriving aircraft. LPGA International, the golf resort and tournament venue, is also nearby.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Daytona Beach campus generates steady traffic of aviation industry travelers, academics, and families visiting students throughout the year. For flights arriving from the Bahamas or other Caribbean points, KDAB's international airport designation enables US Customs clearance.
Daytona Beach sits about 10 miles from the airport. The Atlantic coast, including Daytona Beach's hard-packed sand beach, is accessible within 15 minutes of the ramp. The north-end approach on US 92 runs straight into the beach corridor.
The 0600 to 2100 operating window covers the majority of charter arrival and departure activity. Operators scheduling arrivals outside those hours should confirm handling arrangements in advance to ensure the ramp is staffed.
