Northeast Florida Regional Airport

Northeast Florida Regional handles no scheduled commercial service, which means no airline congestion, no ground delays waiting for gate slots, and a straightforward FBO experience. Private jets get direct ramp access without competing with commercial traffic. The airport sits just north of downtown St. Augustine, making it the obvious choice for anyone headed to the Historic District, World Golf Village, or the resort corridor along A1A.

For golf trips, KSGJ is better positioned than Jacksonville International for Ponte Vedra Beach and TPC Sawgrass, saving 20 to 30 minutes of driving compared to flying into JAX. The Amelia Island resorts are farther north and may justify the drive from JAX instead, depending on where you're based. The airport has FBO facilities with fuel and ramp services. No slot requirements and no noise curfews are in effect at this writing, but confirm current restrictions with your FBO before scheduling early morning or late night arrivals.

Downtown St. Augustine is 4 miles from the airport, a 10-minute drive. Uber and Lyft serve the area reliably, and local car services can arrange meet-and-greet on the ramp. Ponte Vedra Beach and the TPC Sawgrass area are about 28 miles north via US-1 and I-95, roughly 35 minutes. Jacksonville's urban core is 40 miles north, about 45 to 50 minutes in normal traffic. Amelia Island resorts are 60 miles north, closer to an hour. If you're headed to Daytona Beach, plan on 55 miles south along I-95, about an hour.
