Toronto Pearson International Airport

Toronto Pearson is a slot-coordinated airport (IATA Level 3 during peak periods), which means scheduling lead time matters. Private flights operate out of dedicated FBO areas separate from the commercial terminals. Signature Flight Support and Skyservice both operate full-service FBOs on the south side of the field. Chartright Air Group, one of the larger Canadian charter operators, is also based here. Passengers clear Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) customs on arrival for international flights, available around the clock.

Pearson is a large commercial airport with significant traffic, and ramp congestion and sequencing delays are possible during peak hours. International private arrivals should file customs pre-clearance paperwork in advance. The airport has no hard noise curfew, but night operations are subject to preferential runway use and noise abatement routing, particularly between 11pm and 6am. Late-night or early-morning departures are operationally possible but may involve longer taxi routing.

Downtown Toronto (Bay Street financial district, King Street West) is about 27 km to the east, typically 35 to 45 minutes by car off-peak. During morning or evening rush hour on the 401 or Gardiner Expressway, that can stretch past 75 minutes. A car service or hire vehicle is the standard option for private aviation passengers. The UP Express train connects Pearson to Union Station in about 25 minutes, but access is from the commercial Terminal 1, not the FBO ramps.

Mississauga city centre is roughly 10 minutes away. Hamilton is about 70 km southwest, around 50 to 60 minutes. Niagara Falls is approximately 130 km, about 90 minutes by road. For passengers heading to cottage country (Muskoka, Collingwood), drive times run 2 to 2.5 hours north depending on traffic on Highway 400.
