John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport

CYHM is an uncongested alternative to Toronto Pearson for passengers heading to Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, or the Niagara region. The airport has a single 10,300-foot runway capable of handling large-cabin jets, and ramp access is straightforward with none of the ground delays common at Pearson. There are no slot restrictions.

Canadian customs (CBSA) is available on-site for international arrivals, which makes it a practical entry point for US-originating flights into southern Ontario. The airport operates around the clock, supported in part by overnight cargo activity from Cargojet and Amazon Air. FBO services are available for private aircraft handling, fueling, and passenger amenities.

Downtown Hamilton is roughly 15 minutes by car. Burlington is about 25 minutes, Oakville around 35 minutes. Downtown Toronto runs 60 to 75 minutes depending on traffic on the QEW or Highway 403. Niagara Falls is approximately 50 minutes south via the QEW. Car service and SUV hire can be arranged through local operators; the airport does not have a dedicated helicopter transfer facility.
