Florida Keys Marathon International Airport

KMTH is the practical choice for private arrivals to Marathon, the Islamoradas, and the stretch of the Keys between Key Largo and Key West. It sits on Vaca Key and offers FBO services without the congestion of Key West. For operators, it avoids the slot coordination and ramp crowding that KEYW sees during peak winter season.

The airport handles general aviation and charter traffic on a single runway (7/25). No commercial airline service operates here, which keeps the ramp quieter and ground handling more straightforward than at commercial-service fields. Customs clearance is not available at KMTH. International arrivals need to clear elsewhere before continuing.

Everything in the Florida Keys moves on US-1, the Overseas Highway, and KMTH is no exception. Key West is 47 miles southwest, typically 55 to 70 minutes depending on traffic. Miami is about 120 miles north via US-1 and the Florida Turnpike, a drive of 2 to 2.5 hours under normal conditions. Islamorada is roughly 30 miles north, about 35 minutes. Car rental is available at the airport. There is no public transit serving the facility.
