About Fontainebleau Aviation
Fontainebleau Aviation opened in December 2024 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, operated by Skyservice Business Aviation, which acquired a majority stake in 2023. The facility gives charter passengers access to 80,000 square feet of hangar space and a 25,000 square foot private terminal that includes executive office space with direct hangar access. That direct connection between the terminal and the aircraft floor means you move from lounge to jet without stepping outside or navigating a shared terminal. Private lounges and conference rooms with AV and web conferencing equipment are available for passengers who need to work before or after a flight. The location works well for the full range of South Florida itineraries. I-95 is nearby, Fort Lauderdale Beach is roughly 10 minutes east, and Port Everglades, one of the busiest cruise ports in the world, is close enough that Fontainebleau handles a meaningful share of cruise-and-fly traffic through the area. An aircraft canopy keeps the apron area shaded during the summer months when ground temperatures in South Florida regularly exceed 90 degrees. VIP concierge staff coordinate ground transportation and transfers, which is useful given how often passengers connect here between a cruise ship and a charter flight. The terminal design draws on the Fontainebleau hotel brand, so the interior finish level is closer to a hotel lobby than a standard aviation terminal. For passengers arriving or departing through KFLL on a private charter, the facility offers a full separation from the commercial terminal experience from the moment you arrive curbside.
