Fresno Yosemite International Airport

Fresno Yosemite International handles both commercial and general aviation traffic, with private jet operations centered on Jackson Jet Center, the primary FBO on the field. The airport has a 9,217-foot primary runway, suitable for large-cabin jets without payload restrictions. Slot restrictions and congestion are not factors here. Tower hours are limited, but the airport accepts operations around the clock.

For private passengers, KFAT is the most practical entry point to Yosemite National Park, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon. It avoids the drive from Los Angeles (220 miles south) or San Francisco (185 miles northwest) while putting you within 65 miles of Yosemite Valley. The airport also serves as the hub for the Central Valley agricultural and business corridor, with clients ranging from agricultural operators to tech and real estate groups based in the region.

Downtown Fresno is 4 miles from the terminal, roughly 10 minutes by car. Yosemite Valley is approximately 65 miles northeast via Highway 41, typically 1.5 to 2 hours depending on season and road conditions (Highway 41 into the park closes periodically in winter). Sequoia National Park's Ash Mountain entrance is about 55 miles east on Highway 180, around 1 hour 15 minutes. Rental cars are available at the terminal. Car services and SUV transfers can be arranged through the FBOs for passengers heading directly to park destinations.
