Nantucket Memorial Airport is the sole airport on the island, which means private aviation and commercial service share the same field. For private jet passengers, that also means capacity constraints are real. During peak summer weekends (late June through Labor Day), the airport operates a reservation system requiring advance slot bookings. Arriving without a reservation on a busy Saturday in July is a gamble. Plan ahead.

The airport is a medium-sized single-runway facility. FBO services are available on the field for fuel, catering, and ground handling. The ramp can get crowded during summer, so coordinate with your FBO on parking before arrival. Winter operations are straightforward by comparison, with minimal congestion and no reservation requirements.

The town of Nantucket is roughly 3 miles from the airport, about 10 minutes by car. Taxi and car service options are available on the island, though supply is limited in peak season and wait times can stretch. Rental cars are available at the airport but book out quickly during summer. There are no rideshare services operating reliably on the island. If you are staying at a hotel or private property, arranging a pickup in advance is the standard approach.
