Dundee Airport

Dundee Airport sits on the north bank of the River Tay, less than two miles from Dundee city centre. For private passengers, it offers direct access to eastern Scotland without the traffic and congestion of Edinburgh. The runway is 1,256 metres, suitable for light jets and turboprops. Heavy jets typically route through Edinburgh (EGPH), around 60 miles to the south.

Woodgate Aviation handles FBO services at Dundee, including fuelling and handling for private aircraft. The terminal is compact and efficient. Pre-clearance for customs arrivals should be arranged in advance, as the airport operates on restricted hours and does not have round-the-clock customs staffing.

The airport is not slot-controlled, which simplifies scheduling. PPR (prior permission required) applies for all movements, so operators must contact the airport in advance. Operating hours are limited, and night operations require specific approval.

Dundee city centre is a 5-minute drive from the airport. St Andrews, home to the Old Course and several other championship golf courses, is 14 miles east, roughly 25 minutes by road. Perth is 22 miles northwest, about 30 minutes. Edinburgh is 60 miles south via the A90, typically 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes depending on traffic through the Forth Bridge corridor. Car hire is available at the airport. Taxis and private car services operate from the terminal.
