Farnborough Airport

Farnborough handles only business and private aviation. There are no commercial scheduled services, no airline queues, and no shared terminals. The airport is coordinated, meaning prior slot approval is required for all movements. Book slots well in advance, particularly during the biennial Farnborough Airshow in July of even-numbered years, when the airport and surrounding airspace are under heavy demand.

A strict noise curfew applies from 23:00 to 07:00 local time, with tighter restrictions on Sundays. Late arrivals and early departures must be planned around these limits. The airport has full customs and immigration facilities, handling international arrivals directly without diversion to a commercial hub. Passenger handling is private-terminal only, with dedicated FBO services including lounges, catering, and aircraft handling.

Central London is 35 miles northeast via the M3 and A316. Outside peak hours the drive runs about 45 minutes; in heavy traffic, allow 75-90 minutes. The M25 junction at Lightwater is roughly 10 miles, connecting onward to Heathrow (around 20 miles) or Gatwick (around 30 miles). Helicopter transfer to London Heliport in Battersea takes approximately 20 minutes. Chauffeur car services meet passengers airside. Guildford is 14 miles east, Winchester 25 miles southwest.
