L.F. Wade International is the single point of entry for all air traffic into Bermuda, which means private jets and commercial airlines share the same facility. The airport sits on the northeastern tip of the island in St. George's Parish. For charter passengers, this is a straightforward international arrival: you clear Bermuda customs and immigration on the ground here before heading anywhere on the island.

Bermuda draws private aviation traffic year-round from the US East Coast. New York and Boston are roughly 1,000 to 1,100 miles away, putting the island about 2 hours by light jet. Miami is around 1,200 miles. The island also sees increased private traffic around major sailing events and during the spring and summer season when the financial sector draws business travelers.

Slot coordination is recommended during peak periods. The airport is not slot-controlled in the formal European sense, but the single runway and limited ramp space at the private terminal can create congestion during busy arrival windows.

Bermuda does not permit visitors to rent cars. Taxis are the standard transfer option from the airport, and the ride to Hamilton takes 20 to 30 minutes covering about 9 miles. The island's 35 km/h speed limit applies across most roads, so travel times are longer than the distance suggests. Minibus and taxi services operate outside arrivals. For points like Horseshoe Bay or the western parishes, expect 30 to 45 minutes from the airport. Some hotels offer private car transfers by arrangement.
