Great Harbour Cay Airport

Great Harbour Cay Airport is the only air access point to the Berry Islands' largest island. The airport sits about a mile from the Great Harbour Cay Marina and the small settlement of Bullocks Harbour. It handles virtually all traffic as private or charter, with no scheduled commercial service. The runway is approximately 5,000 feet, suitable for light jets and turboprops but generally not appropriate for large-cabin heavy jets.

The airport is an official Bahamian port of entry, so you can clear customs and immigration here on arrival from the US without routing through Nassau first. This is one of the practical advantages of flying into Great Harbour Cay directly. Facilities are basic: expect a simple terminal building rather than an FBO with full amenities. Fuel availability should be confirmed in advance with your operator.

The island is small and there is no car rental infrastructure in the conventional sense. The marina, beach club, and most visitor accommodations are within a mile or two of the airport. Golf carts are the primary way to get around the island and can often be arranged through the marina or resort. Water taxis connect Great Harbour Cay to Chub Cay and other Berry Islands for those continuing by boat.
