Owen Roberts International Airport

Owen Roberts handles all commercial and private traffic into Grand Cayman, which means FBO ramp space can get tight during peak winter season and around major holidays. The island draws high-net-worth visitors year-round, and private movements are a normal part of operations here. Customs and immigration are on-site, and the process for private arrivals is generally straightforward.

The airport sits on the northwest edge of the island, well-positioned for most visitor destinations. Grand Cayman is only about 22 miles long, so even the far end of the island is under 30 minutes by car. Seven Mile Beach, the financial district in George Town, and Camana Bay are all within a short drive. There are no mountains or significant terrain complications on approach.

George Town is about 3 miles west of the airport, roughly 10 minutes by car. Seven Mile Beach runs north from George Town and is 5 to 10 miles from the terminal depending on your hotel, typically 15 to 20 minutes. Camana Bay is about 6 miles north, around 15 minutes. Car rental is available at the airport. For private arrivals, most visitors arrange car service in advance through their hotel or a local ground transport company. There is no rail or public transit link.
