Toluca sits 65 km west of Mexico City and handles a fraction of the traffic at Benito Juárez (MMMX). Toluca's own city center is about 12 km from the airport, a 20-minute drive under normal conditions. If your destination is western Mexico City neighborhoods like Santa Fe or Lomas de Chapultepec, drive times from Toluca can be comparable to arriving at MMMX and fighting cross-city traffic.
