St. Louis Lambert International Airport

KSTL handles both commercial and private aviation on a large campus northwest of the city. Private aircraft operate through FBO facilities on the south ramp, separate from the commercial terminals. Jackson Jet Center is the established fixed-base operator on the field, and Jet Linx maintains a presence here as well. Customs and Border Protection is available at KSTL for international arrivals, which makes it a practical option for transatlantic and cross-border trips into St. Louis.

As a major commercial airport, expect the usual coordination with approach control and ground, but private traffic is well-accommodated and the FBO ramp is not congested. The airport operates around the clock. Noise abatement procedures are in effect for departures and arrivals during nighttime hours, so confirm departure routing with your operator if you're leaving late.

Downtown St. Louis is 14 miles southeast of the airport, about 20 to 25 minutes by car under normal conditions. The Clayton business district, home to many law firms and financial offices, is roughly 10 miles and 15 to 20 minutes. St. Louis MetroLink light rail connects Lambert directly to downtown, but most charter passengers use prearranged car service. The Gateway Arch and convention center hotels are both within that same downtown drive. For guests heading to Chesterfield, West County, or St. Charles, the airport's northwest position makes those trips 15 to 30 minutes depending on destination.
