Roberts Field

Roberts Field sits at 3,080 feet in the high desert of Central Oregon, making it the go-to airport for Bend, Sunriver, and the surrounding resort region. The airport handles both commercial and general aviation traffic, but the private terminal offers a straightforward, uncongested experience compared to Portland or Seattle. No slot requirements, no noise curfews that restrict typical charter operations.

The FBO ramp is well-equipped for turbines and jets. Fuel, ground handling, and hangars are available on-field. The airport sees increased traffic during ski season (November through April) and summer golf/outdoor seasons, but never to the point where you'll face meaningful delays. Altitude matters here: at 3,080 feet, performance planning is worth a conversation with your operator, particularly on hot summer days.

Bend is 16 miles south, a 20-25 minute drive via US-97. Sunriver Resort is about 35 miles south, roughly 40 minutes. Mt. Bachelor ski area is 55 miles from the airport, around 50 minutes in normal conditions. Rental cars are available on-site from the major agencies. Car services and black car options operate out of Bend and can meet you at the FBO with advance notice. There is no direct helicopter transfer service.
