Skyservice Redmond is a purpose-built FBO at Roberts Field in Redmond, Oregon, completed in 2022 at a cost of $9 million. The facility replaced older-era buildings with a modern 7,000-square-foot terminal and an adjoining 25,000-square-foot hangar featuring under-floor radiant heating that can accommodate aircraft up to the Gulfstream G650 and Bombardier Global 7500. The terminal was designed by Bend-based BBT Architects and built by Redmond general contractor SunWest Builders, with regional character evident in the design. Passenger amenities include a lounge, a refreshment bar, and concierge services. A 16-seat conference room serves business meetings, and a snooze room provides rest space for crews on layover. Flight planning resources and a pilot lounge round out the crew facilities. Hotel shuttle service and on-site car rental make ground transportation straightforward. The FBO operates 24/7, providing aircraft services at Central Oregon's primary airport. Redmond sits 10 minutes from downtown and serves as the commercial gateway to Bend, Oregon's fastest-growing city and an outdoor recreation hub. Bend is roughly 20 minutes south, and the Mt. Bachelor ski resort is about 40 minutes from the airport. Sunriver Resort, Black Butte Ranch, and Brasada Ranch are all within 30 to 45 minutes. The Cascade Range provides world-class skiing, mountain biking, fly fishing, and hiking, drawing a steady stream of leisure travelers by private jet, particularly during ski season and summer months. The airport's 7,038-foot runway at 3,077 feet elevation handles most business jet types. Skyservice brings Canadian-headquartered operational standards to a market that has seen rapid growth, making this one of the most significant FBO investments in the Pacific Northwest in recent years.
