Myrtle Beach International handles both scheduled commercial flights and private charter traffic from a single airfield. The FBO at KMYR is Million Air, which provides ramp handling, fuel, crew cars, and passenger lounges for private arrivals. The airport is uncongested by private aviation standards and does not require advance slot reservations, making it straightforward for on-demand charter operations.

The airport sits at roughly 25 feet elevation in flat coastal terrain with no significant weather traps, though afternoon summer thunderstorms are common along the South Carolina coast from June through September. Winter operations are generally mild. There are no permanent noise curfews, though voluntary noise abatement procedures are in place for late-night operations.

Myrtle Beach's oceanfront resort strip is 4 to 6 miles east of the airport, typically 10 to 15 minutes by car. Pawleys Island, a quieter barrier island popular with repeat visitors, is 25 miles south, about 30 minutes. Hilton Head Island is 90 miles south and takes roughly 1 hour 45 minutes by road. Wilmington, NC is 75 miles north, about 1 hour 15 minutes.

Car rentals are available on-site through the main terminal. Rideshares (Uber and Lyft) operate throughout the Grand Strand. For larger parties or guests who prefer not to self-drive, several local car services cover the airport, including transfers to golf resorts and oceanfront properties along the 60-mile coastal corridor.
