Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport

Wichita Eisenhower serves both commercial and private traffic on the same field, but private passengers use the FBO ramps on the west and south sides, well clear of the terminal. The airport has no slot restrictions and no noise curfews, so scheduling is straightforward. Ramp space is generous and wait times at the FBO are rarely an issue.

Wichita is home to Textron Aviation (Cessna and Beechcraft), Spirit AeroSystems, and Bombardier Learjet, which means the local aviation infrastructure is mature. Line service, maintenance, and hangar availability are above average for a city this size. If your aircraft needs AOG support or a quick inspection while you are in town, you are in one of the better places in the country to be.

Operators at the airport include Jet Linx and Thrive Aviation, both of which maintain staffed FBO or charter operations on the field. Cockrell Aviation and M & N Equipment also operate here. CBP is available for international arrivals.

Downtown Wichita is about 6 miles east of the airport, typically 10 to 15 minutes by car depending on traffic on Kellogg Avenue (US-54). Car service and rental cars are available at the FBOs. The Old Town entertainment district and the Intrust Bank Arena are both within that same 15-minute window. If you are headed to Cessna or Textron Aviation campuses, those facilities are within a few miles of the airport.
