About Signature Flight Support
Signature Flight Support at Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport operates 24 hours a day in the city widely regarded as the Air Capital of the World. Wichita is the birthplace of Cessna, Beechcraft, and Learjet, and today hosts Textron Aviation's headquarters, Spirit AeroSystems (a major Boeing fuselage supplier), and Bombardier's Learjet facility. This concentration of aviation manufacturing generates consistent private and corporate flight activity from executives, engineers, and suppliers visiting production lines. Signature's facility at 1980 Airport Road includes 40,000 square feet of hangar space, ramp service, fueling, and the full range of passenger and crew amenities. The FBO handles everything from light jets to large-cabin aircraft on the airport's two runways, the longest at 10,301 feet. Wichita also has a second public airport, Colonel James Jabara, and the nearby McConnell Air Force Base, but Eisenhower National is the primary commercial and business aviation field. Downtown Wichita is about 10 minutes from the airport, with the Keeper of the Plains sculpture and the Old Town entertainment district as notable landmarks. The city has a practical, Midwestern character that matches the no-nonsense efficiency of the local aviation industry. For charter passengers visiting aircraft manufacturers, attending delivery ceremonies, or touring production facilities, Signature ICT provides a logical home base with proximity to all the major plants. The FBO staff is well-versed in coordinating with factory visit schedules and can arrange ground transportation to any of the manufacturing campuses.
