Lea County Regional Airport

Lea County Regional sits 3,661 feet above sea level on the high desert plateau of southeastern New Mexico. Most private traffic here is energy industry: operators serving oilfield executives, drilling crews, and lease managers moving between Hobbs, Midland, and the broader Permian Basin. CAPITAL JET and ENCORE JET both operate here, so FBO services are available.

The airport has a single paved runway. There are no slot requirements and no significant congestion. Hobbs is not a destination that draws leisure charter traffic, which means ramp space is predictable and ground handling is quick.

Downtown Hobbs is about 4 miles from the terminal, a 10-minute drive. Midland, TX is roughly 95 miles east on US-180, about 90 minutes. Lubbock, TX is approximately 110 miles north via US-62, also around 90 minutes. Roswell, NM is about 110 miles northwest. Rental cars are the standard option. Car service is available but should be arranged in advance given the city's size.
