Austin Straubel handles both commercial and private traffic, which means the infrastructure is solid but the GA ramp is separate from the terminal crush. Private passengers clear on the FBO side, avoiding the commercial terminal entirely. The airport has no slot restrictions for private operations and runs around the clock, which matters when Packers game weekends pack the region and schedules shift.

Green Bay is a mid-size market, so expect competent but not lavish FBO service. Ramp space is generally available outside of NFL game days, when the airport sees significant private traffic and fuel and handling surcharges sometimes apply. If you're flying in for a game, book ground transport and fuel well in advance. The rest of the year, KGRB is an easy, low-friction airport to operate into.

Downtown Green Bay is about 8 miles from the airport, a 15 to 20 minute drive depending on traffic. Lambeau Field is roughly 5 miles away, under 15 minutes. Car rental is available on the commercial side, and local car services operate out of Green Bay. Ride-share pickup is available at the terminal. Milwaukee is about 115 miles south (1.5 to 2 hours by car), and Chicago is roughly 185 miles south (around 3 hours). For most passengers, a rental car or car service is the practical choice.
