Columbus Airport

Columbus Airport sits 5 miles east of downtown Columbus and handles both commercial and general aviation traffic. For private passengers, the general aviation side offers a quieter, faster experience than larger regional hubs. The airport is the practical choice for anyone traveling to Columbus itself, Fort Moore (formerly Fort Benning) to the south, or destinations in the Chattahoochee Valley region straddling the Georgia-Alabama border.

The airport is uncongested by private aviation standards. No slot requirements, no curfew restrictions that affect typical charter operations. FBO services are available on the field. Atlanta Hartsfield is about 100 miles northeast if you need international connections or a larger hub, but for anything within the Columbus metro area, KCSG eliminates the drive entirely.

Downtown Columbus is a 10-minute drive from the airport. Fort Moore is roughly 15 miles south, about 20 minutes by car. Phenix City, Alabama, just across the Chattahoochee River, is similarly close. Rental cars are available at the terminal. Rideshare services operate in Columbus, though availability can be limited compared to larger cities, so arranging a car service in advance is the more reliable option for charter passengers.
