About Flightways Columbus

Flightways Columbus is the sole FBO at Columbus Airport in Columbus, Georgia, serving both the city's business community and the substantial military population at neighboring Fort Moore, formerly known as Fort Benning. The facility is located at 3250 West Britt Road and handles all general aviation operations on the field.

The terminal features a spacious passenger lobby, a pilot business center with Wi-Fi, a lounge with oversized reclining chairs, a private snooze room for resting between flights, satellite entertainment, and an executive conference room for meetings. Courtesy cars are available for trips around town, and the staff provides concierge services to help with restaurant recommendations, hotel bookings, and local transportation.

Flightways supplies both Jet-A and avgas, and ramp fees are waived with a minimum fuel purchase. Hours of operation run 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends, with after-hours callout service available. The airport has a 6,997-foot primary runway that accommodates most business jet types.

Columbus is a city shaped by its relationship with Fort Moore, one of the largest military installations in the United States and home to the U.S. Army's Maneuver Center of Excellence. Defense contractors, military families, and government officials generate consistent private aviation traffic. The city also has a growing manufacturing sector, with companies like TSYS (now Global Payments), Aflac's Columbus operations, and Kia's nearby West Point assembly plant.

For charter passengers, Flightways Columbus provides a straightforward, well-maintained FBO with the essential amenities needed for business and personal travel to the Chattahoochee Valley region.

Rental cars are available at the terminal. Rideshare services operate in Columbus, though availability can be limited compared to larger cities, so arranging a car service in advance is the more reliable option for charter passengers.
