Dakhla Airport sits on the narrow peninsula that defines the city, placing it within a few kilometers of the lagoon and most accommodation. The airport handles both commercial and private traffic at low volume, which means short turnarounds and minimal congestion on the ramp. Ground handling options are limited compared to larger Moroccan hubs, so coordinating FBO services in advance through your operator is advisable.

The airport has international status with customs and immigration on site, which matters given its proximity to the Mauritanian border. Charter traffic here tends to connect to Casablanca (CMN), Marrakech (RAK), or Las Palmas in the Canary Islands.
