Stockholm-Bromma Airport

Bromma is the inner-city option for private aviation into Stockholm. It sits 7 km west of central Stockholm, putting passengers in the city in 20 minutes under normal traffic. Stockholm-Arlanda, by comparison, is 40 km north and often 45 to 60 minutes by car. For any meeting or destination inside the city, Bromma is the practical choice.

The airport operates under strict noise restrictions due to the dense residential neighborhoods surrounding it. Departures and arrivals are confined to daytime hours, roughly 06:00 to 22:00 local time, with no jet traffic permitted overnight. Turboprops and quieter aircraft types have more flexibility, but most jets will need to plan around these windows. Slot coordination is required and should be arranged well in advance, particularly on weekday mornings when business traffic is heavy.

The general aviation terminal is separate from the commercial side and handles private charter arrivals efficiently. Customs and immigration are available for international arrivals with advance notice to the handling agent. The facility is compact by international standards but functional, with no long walks between the aircraft and the departure lounge.

Central Stockholm (T-Centralen, Gamla Stan, Stureplan) is approximately 7 to 8 km from the airport. A car service or taxi covers the distance in 20 to 30 minutes in normal traffic, longer during peak commute hours on the E4 and Drottningholmsvägen. The suburb of Kungsholmen is roughly 5 km away. Chauffeur transfers can be pre-arranged through most FBO handlers. There is no direct rail connection from Bromma to the city center; car transfer is the standard option.
