Guernsey Airport

Guernsey is a British Crown dependency with its own border controls, separate from both the UK and EU. All arriving private jets clear customs and immigration on-island. The airport is small and efficient for private passengers, with dedicated general aviation handling away from the commercial terminal.

The single runway (09/27) is 1,463 meters long, suitable for light jets and midsize aircraft. Larger heavy jets may face range or payload restrictions depending on conditions. Slot coordination is not required for most private operations, but handlers should be contacted in advance, especially during peak summer months when the island sees significant leisure traffic.

Guernsey's financial sector draws regular business aviation traffic, and the island's handlers are experienced with private charter arrivals. Night operations are restricted, so scheduling departures and arrivals within daytime hours is advisable.

Saint Peter Port is approximately 3 miles northeast of the airport, a 10 to 15 minute drive depending on traffic. Taxis meet arriving aircraft and are the standard transfer option. Car hire desks operate at the terminal. The island is roughly 5 miles across at its widest point, so no destination on Guernsey is more than 20 minutes from the airport by road.
