Belfast International Airport

Belfast International handles the bulk of Northern Ireland's private aviation traffic. Unlike the two London reliever airports, it operates without slot controls, so scheduling a charter or positioning an empty leg is straightforward. The runway at 2,780 metres accommodates large-cabin jets including the Global and Falcon 7X without restriction.

Woodgate Aviation and Regency Jet operate FBO-style handling at EGAA. Both provide ramp access, crew facilities, and fuel. The private terminal is separate from the main commercial terminal, so you avoid the commercial passenger flow entirely. Customs and immigration are available on-site for international arrivals.

The airport sits 14 miles northwest of Belfast city centre in Aldergrove, Co. Antrim. It has no significant noise curfew, which makes late arrivals and early departures practical. George Best Belfast City Airport (EGAC) is the alternative for central Belfast access, but its runway limits aircraft to smaller cabin sizes.

Belfast city centre is 14 miles southeast, roughly 25 to 30 minutes by car depending on traffic on the M2 corridor. Taxis and hire cars are available at the airport. For the Causeway Coast (Giant's Causeway, Bushmills), the drive is about 55 miles north, typically 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes. Dublin is 100 miles south via the A1/M1, around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours. Helicopter transfers to central Belfast or further afield can be arranged through the handlers.
