Penticton Airport

Penticton Airport is the closest airport to the South Okanagan wine country and Apex Mountain Resort. For passengers arriving to visit wineries around Penticton, Naramata Bench, or Osoyoos, flying into CYYF saves the 45-minute drive from Kelowna. The airport has a single paved runway (15/33) and handles general aviation and charter traffic without the congestion of Kelowna International.

The airport does not have CBSA customs service. International arrivals must clear customs at a designated port of entry before landing at CYYF. Kelowna (CYLW) is the nearest option with full customs facilities. The airport is not staffed 24 hours, so after-hours arrivals require advance coordination with the operator or FBO.

Downtown Penticton is about 3 km from the terminal, a 5-minute drive. Kelowna is roughly 60 km north on Highway 97, about 45 minutes without traffic. Osoyoos and the southern Okanagan wine region is 60 km south, around 50 minutes. Vancouver is approximately 395 km west via the Coquihalla Highway, a 4-hour drive. Car rental is available at the airport through local agencies, though advance booking is advisable. Apex Mountain Resort is 33 km by road, about 40 minutes.
