Treasure Cay Airport

Treasure Cay Airport sits on Great Abaco Island in the northern Bahamas, roughly 180 miles east of Fort Lauderdale. It is the closest airport to the Treasure Cay resort community and the preferred arrival point for passengers staying at or near the marina. Leonard M. Thompson International Airport (MYAM) in Marsh Harbour is the larger alternative for Abaco, about 25 miles to the south, but MYAT puts you directly at your destination without an additional ground transfer.

The airport handles general aviation and charter traffic. Facilities are modest by FBO standards: fuel is available, but passengers should confirm handling arrangements and any customs pre-clearance requirements before departure. U.S. passengers arriving from American airports will clear Bahamian customs and immigration on arrival. Eapis filing is required for all flights into the Bahamas from the U.S.

The Treasure Cay Beach, Marina and Golf Resort is approximately 1 mile from the airport. Taxis meet arriving flights. Car rentals are available in the area, though inventory is limited and advance booking is advisable. For travel further into Abaco, Marsh Harbour is roughly a 30-minute drive south on the main island road.
