Loreto International Airport

Loreto International Airport sits 3 km north of the town center and roughly 8 km north of the Nopolo resort corridor. The airport is small, uncongested, and well-suited to private aviation. There are no slot requirements and general aviation traffic is light, so ground handling is straightforward. Customs and immigration are available for international arrivals, making this a legal port of entry from the US.

The facility is modest by international standards, but that works in your favor. Ramp access is easy, there is no meaningful congestion, and turnaround times are fast. Fuel availability should be confirmed with your operator in advance, as it can be limited for certain jet grades. The airport serves a mix of charter, private, and some scheduled commercial traffic, so the FBO environment is familiar with private clients.

The town of Loreto is a 5-minute drive south of the airport. The Nopolo resort area, home to the TPC Danzante Bay golf course and several high-end properties, is about 10 minutes south. Taxi service is available at the airport. Rental cars are the best option if you plan to explore the peninsula or visit the surrounding ranching towns. Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto is accessible by boat from the Loreto marina, about 15 minutes from the airport by road and then a short water transfer.
