Paris-Le Bourget International Airport

Paris-Le Bourget is the primary private and business aviation airport for Paris. Commercial airlines stopped operating here in 1981, so the airport is now entirely dedicated to private, charter, and cargo flights. It handles more business aviation movements than any other airport in Europe.

Slots are required for all movements and should be booked well in advance, particularly around the Paris Air Show (held in odd-numbered years each June) when the airport operates at near-maximum capacity. Noise abatement procedures apply between 11pm and 6am, and some aircraft types face restrictions during those hours. The airport has multiple FBOs including Signature Flight Support and Jet Aviation, each with private terminals, lounges, and full handling services. Customs and immigration clear on-site, which is standard for private aviation arrivals from outside the Schengen Area.

Central Paris (the 1st arrondissement) is about 10 km southwest of Le Bourget, typically 20 to 40 minutes by car depending on traffic. The A1 and A86 motorways connect directly, but traffic on the Périphérique can extend that considerably during peak hours. Professional car services with meet-and-greet at the FBO are the standard option. Helicopter transfers to the Héliport de Paris in the 15th arrondissement are available and take roughly 8 minutes, bypassing road congestion entirely. The RER B train runs from the nearby Le Bourget station to central Paris in about 20 minutes, though most private passengers use ground transport arranged through their FBO or operator.
