About Sky Valet Cannes
Sky Valet Cannes operates at Cannes-Mandelieu Airport, France's second most important general aviation airport and one dedicated exclusively to private and business aviation. There are no commercial airline flights at LFMD, which means the entire airport infrastructure exists to serve private aviation clients, from ramp space to terminal facilities to air traffic control priorities.
The FBO holds a special place in Sky Valet's history as the company's original location and the first in Europe to earn IS-BAH certification, a mark of best practice and safety for business aircraft handling that was introduced in 2016. The facility features luxury lounges, fine dining options, and ground handling calibrated for the expectations of the French Riviera market.
Sky Valet's team at Cannes manages fueling, aircraft parking, passenger and baggage handling, customs processing, and concierge services. The staff arranges luxury car transfers, helicopter connections along the coast, yacht coordination at nearby marinas, and reservations at Cannes restaurants and hotels. They handle landing permits and overflight authorizations through the network's central operations center.
Cannes-Mandelieu Airport is located about 3 miles from central Cannes, making it significantly closer to the city's hotels, beaches, and the Palais des Festivals than Nice Cote d'Azur Airport, which is roughly 25 kilometers to the east. For passengers attending the Cannes Film Festival, MIPIM real estate conference, or Cannes Lions advertising festival, arriving at LFMD shaves considerable time off the ground transfer.
The airport offers a more intimate and discreet experience compared to Nice. Traffic volumes are lower, the terminal is smaller and less hectic, and the entire operation feels purpose-built for private aviation rather than a bolt-on to a commercial airport. Sky Valet handles over 40,000 business jet movements annually across their European network.
