University Oxford Airport

University Oxford Airport is a single-runway general aviation airport that handles the majority of private charter traffic into Oxford. The field has a 6,006-foot paved runway, which accommodates most light and midsize jets without issue. Heavy cabin aircraft may face weight or length constraints depending on conditions.

The airport's biggest operational consideration is Ole Miss football. Home games draw significant charter volume into a small facility, and ramp space fills quickly. If you're arriving for a game weekend, coordinate with the FBO well in advance. Fuel and ground handling can back up, and parking may require prior arrangement. Outside of football season, KUOX is an uncongested airport with straightforward operations.

There are no slot requirements and no published noise curfews. The airport does not offer U.S. Customs and Border Protection services, so all arrivals must be domestic.

The drive from KUOX to Oxford's town square is roughly 6 miles and takes under 15 minutes outside of game-day traffic. On Ole Miss football Saturdays, that same drive can stretch to 45 minutes or more depending on road closures and crowds. Rental cars are available but limited at this airport; arranging a car service in advance is the more reliable option. Memphis International Airport is approximately 75 miles north via US-278 and I-55, a drive of about 1 hour 20 minutes under normal conditions.
