Signature Flight Support is the sole FBO at San Diego International Airport, the busiest single-runway commercial airport in the United States. Located at 3300 Admiral Boland Way on the northeast corner of the airfield, the facility sits just three miles from downtown San Diego and operates daily from 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The terminal includes an executive lounge, a conference room, a flight planning room, a fitness facility, and a cafeteria with vending options. U.S. Customs is available on site for international arrivals, which makes Signature SAN one of the more convenient ports of entry along the Southern California coast. Ground transportation options are extensive, with shuttle service, rental cars, and taxi coordination all handled through the concierge desk.
For charter passengers, the location is hard to beat. The Gaslamp Quarter, Petco Park, the San Diego Convention Center, and the waterfront are all within a 10-minute drive. La Jolla, Coronado Island, and the Hotel del Coronado are reachable in 15 to 20 minutes. The airport's single 9,401-foot runway handles everything from light jets to heavy intercontinental aircraft, though slot restrictions and commercial traffic can create delays during peak hours.
Because Signature operates without FBO competition at KSAN, fuel pricing tends to run higher than at nearby reliever airports like Carlsbad or Brown Field. Downtown San Diego is 3 miles from the terminal, typically 10 to 15 minutes by car. La Jolla is about 12 miles north, roughly 20 to 25 minutes without traffic. Coronado requires a bridge crossing and runs about 20 minutes. The Gaslamp Quarter, Petco Park, and the Convention Center are all under 5 miles. Car service from operators like AceRide or national black car companies meets clients at the FBO ramp. Uber and Lyft also work at the FBO level. The Tijuana border crossing at San Ysidro is approximately 20 miles south, around 30 minutes in normal traffic.
