Rochester International Airport

Rochester International Airport exists almost entirely in the orbit of the Mayo Clinic. The majority of private jet traffic here is medical: patients arriving for consultations, procedures, or follow-up care at one of the country's top medical centers. That context shapes everything about flying into KRST. The airport handles this demand efficiently, with no slot requirements and no commercial congestion to navigate around. Jet Linx, Silverhawk Aviation, and SunWest Aviation all operate here, giving charter passengers solid FBO options.

The airport is uncongested by most standards. Security lines are nonexistent on the private side, and ramp-to-car times are fast. If your travel is time-sensitive for medical reasons, KRST handles that better than routing through Minneapolis-St. Paul and driving 90 miles south.

The Mayo Clinic campus is about 6 miles from the airport, a 10 to 15 minute drive depending on traffic. Downtown Rochester is roughly the same distance. Car rental counters are available at the terminal. Rideshare and taxi service to the clinic is reliable given how frequently medical travelers use this route. There is no helicopter transfer infrastructure between the airport and the clinic, but the drive is straightforward enough that ground transport is the standard approach.
