About Atlantic Aviation
Atlantic Aviation at Palm Springs International Airport sits on Gene Autry Trail, providing full-service FBO handling for the Coachella Valley resort corridor. The facility operates 24/7 and includes on-site US Customs for international arrivals, which covers charter flights arriving from Mexico and Canada during the winter season.
Palm Springs International has two distinct seasonal patterns. From November through April, when desert temperatures stay in the 60s and 70s, the airport handles peak traffic from charter passengers arriving for golf, spa resorts, and warm weather escapes from cold-weather markets. Summer heat, with temperatures regularly exceeding 110 degrees Fahrenheit, reduces leisure traffic significantly between June and September.
Ground transport from the airport is short by major market standards. Downtown Palm Springs is approximately 5 minutes from the FBO. Rancho Mirage, home to resort hotels including the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, is 15 minutes east. La Quinta and the PGA West golf courses are approximately 25 minutes from the airport. Indian Wells, which hosts the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament each March, is about 20 minutes.
Atlantic provides full ground handling, fueling, and passenger services at PSP. Charter operators flying leisure trips into the Palm Springs market benefit from the short ground transport times that make the Coachella Valley one of the more efficient charter destinations in Southern California, compared to the driving times associated with Los Angeles or San Diego FBOs.
The resort area's concentration of high-end properties makes concierge coordination standard practice. Catering from local restaurants, ground transportation to multiple resort properties in a single arrival, and aircraft storage during multi-day stays are routine requests that Atlantic's Palm Springs team handles regularly throughout the high season.

Operations at Palm Springs International Airport
Downtown Palm Springs is about 2 miles from the airport, roughly a 5-minute drive. Indian Wells, La Quinta, and the polo grounds at Empire Polo Club (Coachella festival site) are 25 to 30 miles east, a 30 to 40-minute drive depending on traffic. Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage are 15 to 20 miles east. Car service and rental cars are both available at the airport. During Coachella and Stagecoach weekends, road traffic on I-10 and Highway 111 can extend drive times significantly, and pre-arranged car service is worth booking early.
