About Wilson Air Center Houston
Wilson Air Center is at 9000 Randolph Street at the south end of Houston Hobby, where Taxiways Lima and Juliet intersect. Wilson is the only FBO at KHOU with direct adjacency to the US Customs Services facility on the field. For any flight arriving from outside the United States, that location matters: passengers and crew clear customs at Wilson's ramp rather than repositioning the aircraft to a separate inspection point elsewhere on the airport.
The terminal was recently expanded by 7,200 square feet, with 18-foot ceilings throughout the new section. A VIP conference room seats 10 people. Two pilot lounges with snooze rooms handle crew rest on overnight stops or long layovers. A refreshment bar is available to passengers and crew at any hour. Wilson operates 24 hours a day.
The hangar covers 100,000 square feet alongside a 20,000 square foot office building. The ramp can accommodate aircraft up to a Boeing 767-300, giving Wilson capacity for heavy jets and ultra-long-range aircraft that need wide ramp clearance.
A Duncan Aviation satellite facility operates on-site for avionics repair and maintenance. If your aircraft needs an unscheduled repair between legs, that capability is available without repositioning to another airport or waiting for a mobile technician.
Ground transportation includes a shuttle van and crew cars. The south-end location connects via Beltway 8 and Highway 288, reaching the Texas Medical Center and the Museum District in about 15 to 20 minutes outside peak traffic. For international arrivals specifically, the combination of on-field customs adjacency and on-site Duncan Aviation avionics support is not available at any other Houston Hobby FBO.
