Cuyahoga County Airport sits in Richmond Heights on Cleveland's east side, away from the commercial traffic at Hopkins International. For private aviation, that separation is the main draw: no airline queues, no slot coordination with the carriers, and a straightforward ramp operation. The FBO environment is small enough that you're typically at the aircraft door within minutes of landing.

Three operators are actively based here, covering on-demand charter and aircraft management. The airport's single runway (5/23 at 6,000 feet) handles most light, midsize, and super-midsize jets without restriction. Heavy cabin aircraft may prefer Hopkins or Akron-Canton depending on the mission, but for the majority of private jet movements, the field is fully capable.

This airport is particularly well-suited if your destination is the Cleveland Clinic main campus, University Circle, Beachwood, or the eastern suburbs generally. Flying into Hopkins for those destinations means fighting westbound traffic back out. KCGF puts you on the right side of the city to begin with.

Downtown Cleveland is 14 miles west, typically 20 to 25 minutes by car in normal traffic. The Cleveland Clinic main campus in University Circle is about 10 miles, closer to 15 minutes. Beachwood and the eastern suburbs are 5 to 10 minutes in most conditions.

Car service and black car companies based in greater Cleveland serve the airport routinely. Uber and Lyft pickup is available. There is no scheduled shuttle or rail connection. For Akron-area destinations, the drive south on I-271 runs about 35 miles and 40 minutes.
